New Ford Kuga Vignale 2020
The new Kuga is designed to support improved aerodynamics for better fuel efficiency, and reduce weight compared to models that come out up to 90 kg when comparing equivalent powertrain variants. In addition, Ford said that the new architecture was designed to improve collision performance, and provide 10 percent more torsional stiffness for better driving dynamics and improvements.
A standout amongst the top rated models of the Blue Oval in Europe is the Kuga. For Ford, it is number three in this region after the Fiesta and Focus. Compact crossover is now in the third generation to continue the success story.
There will be variants of the Kuga Vignale, ST-Line and Titanium. Titanium highlights include sporty front slip plates and rear diffuser, body colored mirrors, side cladding and door handles, standard LED DRL and 17-inch, or optional 19-inch alloy wheels. The high-end Kuga Vignale gets satin aluminum finishes for roof rails, bumpers and rocker inserts, front mesh grille with chrome and dual exhaust pipes, and standard 18 inches, and optional 19-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels.
The new Kuga is the first SUV based on Ford’s new C2 architecture designed to support improved aerodynamics for better fuel efficiency, and reduce weight compared to models that come out up to 90 kg when comparing equivalent powertrain variants. In addition, Ford said that the new architecture was designed to improve collision performance, and provide 10 percent more torsional stiffness for better driving dynamics and improvements.
New Ford Kuga Vignale 2020 Interior
The Kuga sits on the same foundation as the new Ford Focus, and is longer, wider and has a larger wheelbase than the car that comes out. That means having more interior space and should improve stability and handling. Especially, the new Kuga has more interior space than ever before, including what Ford claims is its class-leading space for rear seat passengers.
Thanks to its new and lighter foundation, passengers on the front and rear of the new Kuga get more shoulder and hip space than before, while the seats also break and fold to increase boot capacity if you need it. We’ve sat in front and behind the car, and it feels much more spacious than some rivals. Luggage space is also good, despite the sloping roofline behind the rear passenger compartment. There is also more headroom, even though the new Kuga is 20mm lower than the current model.
New Ford Kuga Vignale 2020 Exterior
Ford designers have heavily restyled the new Kuga over the outgoing model, giving it a far less boxy look despite it being more spacious and practical inside.
When we started the project, we asked existing and potential customers what they wanted, and they gave us clear themes, says George Saridakis, Fords director of exterior and interior design. They wanted a larger, more practical car that allowed them to stand out. If they just wanted space, they buy a van; the message was to design a car that was a bit more outgoing in nature.
You could say its a more feminine look. Its called an SUV but the clear message was that buyers dont want to feel that they are buying a utility vehicle. They want something that looks a bit more sophisticated and desirable.
Likewise, the interior is also influenced by the less cluttered designs of the latest Ford Fiesta and Focus models, with an emphasis on what Saridakis describes as providing a far more calming, upmarket feel to the car. The sweeping dashboard is also notably more upright and set back than on previous-generation Ford models, opening up more passenger room and giving the interior a greater sense of spaciousness.
New Ford Kuga Vignale 2020 Engine
The new Kuga engine line is very comprehensive. Its superiority is the Kuga Plug-In Hybrid. It uses a 2.5-liter Atkinson four-cylinder gasoline engine (inherently more efficient than a normal gasoline engine) combined with an electric motor and a 10.3 kWh lithium-ion battery. As well as emitting 29g / km of CO2, it also produces 225hp – and batteries are filled in domestic sockets from flats in four hours.
The Hybrid Kuga is like a Plug-in Hybrid but without a large battery. Thus it will be cheaper to buy, but economic figures are not impressive. It arrived later in 2020 and Ford talked about 130g / km CO2 and an economy of 50.4mpg (still feasible for gasoline engines).
Ford EcoBlue Hybrid is a lightweight hybrid option. This paired the 150hp 150 liter EcoBlue diesel with 48V lithium-ion battery and combined starter / generator. The energy is restored under braking so that the motor can provide boost during acceleration, releasing engine load and increasing efficiency. This also gives

The new Ford Kuga will arrive next year. As a result, Ford should beat many rivals to get these hybrid options on sale in its family SUV, as it bids to attract new customers eager to adopt new electrified technology and win sales from the likes of the Nissan Qashqai, Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage.
